Thank God It's Thursday

Thank God it's Thursday and one day away from the weekend! After working hard all week, you're probably ready  for a dinner that doesn't involve planning (or in my case, a microwave). You're probably also ready for a beer, cocktail, or a glass of wine- and hey, why not? You deserve it.  If you're looking for a lively social outting, West Village has plenty to offer in terms food, drinks, and entertainment.

One favorite of mine is Lemon Bar, appropriately located on Lemon avenue. 

The dinner menu is limited at Lemon Bar, but just next door is a great bristro restaurant and wine bar called Cru. Here are my suggestions for a healthy happy hour and dinner:

Lemon Bar: Skinny Sips
  • Any light beer (Bud Light, Miller Light, Coors Light, Micholob Ultra) ~ 100 calories
  • Red wine (Pinor Noir, Merlot, Cabernet) ~ 120 calories
  • White wine (Chardonnay, Pinot Gringo, Savignon Blanc) ~120 calories






Cru':
Light Bites
Add a house salad with dressing on the side to any of these entrees to make it a more filling meals with the added nutrition from extra vegetables




  • Seared Ahi Tuna baby romaine, roasted peppers, beefsteak tomatoes, honey balsamic vinaigrette
    • *Order balsamic dressing on the side
  • Pan Roasted Chicken Piccata  lemon caper sauce, fingerlings, spicy broccolini
  • Pan Roasted Halibut  lemon-arugula risotto, stewed tomatoes
    • *Ask to sub steamed veggies for risotto
